Venmo, part of PayPal, lets US customers buy Bitcoin in the app and send it to an outside wallet address. This guide shows how to use that to pay an Apollo Group TV invoice that offers Bitcoin.
Venmo's crypto features are only available in the US, and they are limited in some states. You need a personal Venmo profile.
Venmo asks you to verify your identity, including your SSN or ITIN, before you can buy, hold or send crypto. It may also ask for a photo ID or proof of address.
